Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle manual therapy to assess the deeper restrictions in the body that are contributing to a person's symptoms such as headaches, neck and back pain, stress, anxiety, pain from sports injuries or car accidents, and many others.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. When the body experiences injury, trauma, surgery, stress, an auto accident, or a fall this rhythm can become disrupted and the tissues can tighten and twist.
Craniosacral therapy helps to release tension patterns in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and optimize overall health and movement.
Who is Craniosacral Therapy for?
Craniosacral therapy is helpful for anyone who has had a head injury, sports injury, car accident, headaches and migraines, decreased joint mobility, trauma, stress, anxiety, neck and back pain, digestion issues, reflux, colic, torticollis, plagiocephaly, fibromyalgia, sciatic, preparing for a surgery or post-surgical, jaw and joint pain, and others.
Craniosacral therapy is also helpful following an injury or fall. For example, someone has a fall where they twist their neck or back and land on a hip. After they recover from the fall, the inner tissues may still hold that twist pattern. The diaphragm often becomes stuck from the shock of the impact. This can lead to low back and neck pain, headaches and a variety of symptoms. Craniosacral therapy can help to support the body and the systems within the body to find more ease, less tension and pain.
How does Craniosacral Therapy improve health?
Craniosacral therapy helps to release the deeper restrictions within the body and allow the whole body to function more optimally and find more ease. By freeing up the tensions within the body, a person can experience less pain and stress, and enhance a person’s overall health and well-being.
